How To Install: - Note that the zip contains long filenames and directories. - Get the required Visual C++ and MFC DLLs from http://buzz.scene.org if you don't have them already. - Install MSIE 3 or 4. - copy envelope.ocx to windows\system dir - use regsvr32.exe to register the control (regsvr32 c:\windows\system\envelope.ocx) - Run buzz.exe, go to view/preferences and setup the wave output device. If think that this is too much trouble, Buzz is obviously too complicated program for you. Try FT2 or Rebirth. NOTE: this version is not tested on Windows 95. Better use NT. ------------------------------------------------------------- What's new in this release: - New file format, which is also final. Future versions will be able to load songs made with this version. - Effects can have multiple inputs, so mixers are not needed anymore. - Multiple patterns can be played at the same time for the same machine. - HTML help - Many other things that I didn't write down. New machines: - Bass 2: Much better quality than the first bass, 5 different waveforms plus envmod & decay parameters. - EQ-3: high quality 3-band equalizer. Changed machines: - ES-9: Doesn't crash anymore, I hope. - Delay: multitap, negative feedback, '256h of tick'-unit - Distortion: negative threshold/clamp, controllable amount - Reverb: better quality, early reflections. ------------------------------------------------------------- buzz home: http://buzz.scene.org email: ot@iki.fi
